We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, part of United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT). This is an excellent time to join ULHT, with significant investment in therapy services supporting the development of the Front Door. The successful post holder will be part of a rotational Band 5 programme, gaining a wide range of clinical experience across acute and community pathways.

Role and responsibilities
You will work as part of a supportive 7-day therapy service, developing core Occupational Therapy skills while building confidence across diverse clinical settings. ULHT operates an integrated Therapy Service with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, early intervention, and prevention of deconditioning. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred therapy across the Emergency Department, inpatient wards, outpatient services, and community settings. Throughout your rotations, you will be fully supported by a large, experienced, and collaborative therapy team.
Department and team
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team of over 60 Integrated Therapy staff. You will provide high standard Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions within an integrated therapy team. These rotational positions offer an important opportunity and challenging career move for you to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. As a department we are committed to excellence and provide regular staff supervision and appraisal. The department also supports occupational therapy students.
Development and supervision
Our team is highly focused on supporting your development and we work hard to ensure you will receive 1:1 supervision, regular training/peer reviews and access to advice and support. All Occupational Therapists benefit from protected CPD time, as well as the opportunity to attend locally organised courses run by nationally accredited tutors.
Location and sites
The post-holder’s base will be Pilgrim Hospital in Boston with an expectation to travel and work on at least one other site. The other site will most likely be Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service. Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services. Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city with the opening of the medical school, providing all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
About the Trust and group arrangements
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status. Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving care. The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG). This will not constitute a formal merger, but will bring the Trusts under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, while retaining separate statutory names and obligations.
