We are seeking a passionate Band 6 Alcohol Care Team Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 6 or an aspiring senior Band 5 to develop leadership skills within a specialist service.
You will deliver recovery-focused care to patients with alcohol use disorders, supporting assessment, treatment, and ongoing management. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical pathways, promoting screening and brief advice, and supporting service improvement.
We are looking for someone who is:
1. Passionate about alcohol use disorders and patient-centred care
2. Experienced in looking after patients with alcohol related conditions.
3. Strong communication skills with trauma informed approach.
4. Motivated to facilitate change .
The service operates 6 days a week (08:00–18:00) and offers a supportive environment with opportunities for development.

Main duties of the job
Provide a timely response to referrals into the Alcohol Care Team and undertake assessment using standardized assessment tools.

Essential criteria
5. RN/RMN
6. Evidence of continuing personal development and post-registration training in nursing care, assessment and treatment substance misuse clients.
Desirable criteria
7. Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
8. Completed the Motivational Interviewing Training Module Specialist course (or experience) in Drugs and Alcohol.
9. Interventions in Drug and Alcohol Course
10. Teaching Course

12. Experience of teaching others

13. Experience of care delivery to patients with alcohol disorders
