Retinopathy Screening Photographer/Primary Grader

Diabetic Eye Screening Programme
We are currently looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic photographer to join the regional Diabetic Eye Screening team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high-quality digital photographic screening service for patients with diabetes within Lothian across various sites. They must be able to work independently within set protocols, prioritize workload, and work well under pressure while maintaining high accuracy. Excellent communication skills and flexibility are also essential.
Following extensive training, the successful applicant will perform primary grading of images, requiring concentration and good pattern recognition skills. They will also participate in ongoing training and accreditation in line with national standards.
Experience in diabetes and/or ophthalmology is beneficial but not essential. A recognized photographic qualification at HND or degree level and a clean driving license are required.
