About SIIAM Ventures
SIIAM Ventures is a distinguished, privately held alternative investment firm operating at the intersection of finance, technology, and the law. The firm specialises in opportunistic investment strategies — leveraging structural inefficiencies across the alternative investments landscape to generate exceptional, risk-adjusted returns for its select clientele.
Our integrated service offering spans:
* Alternative investment strategy design and execution
* Wealth management structures and long-term capital preservation
* Private equity co-investments and direct deals
* Venture capital origination, evaluation, and portfolio stewardship
* Asset management across illiquid and semi-liquid asset classes
Operating on a strictly invitation-only model, SIIAM Ventures maintains fully capitalised and oversubscribed deal pipelines with a referral-based approach to client onboarding. The firm's partners each bring over two decades of senior international experience, underpinned by an unwavering commitment to trust, discretion, and the highest standards of professional integrity.
The Opportunity
SIIAM Ventures is recruiting three Senior Financial Planning Managers to join its investment leadership team across its Greater London, Singapore, and South Africa offices. This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-impact, senior individual-contributor-to-leader role within one of the most selective alternative investment platforms in operation today.
The successful candidates will serve as the analytical and strategic backbone of the firm's financial planning function — driving rigorous modelling, insightful performance reporting, and proactive capital intelligence across a sophisticated, multi-strategy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain best-in-class financial models for private equity, venture capital, real assets, credit, and multi-asset alternative strategies.
* Execute rigorous scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and stress-testing to inform capital allocation and risk management decisions.
* Lead valuation workstreams for portfolio companies, new investment opportunities, and fund-level structures using DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, and comparable company methodologies.
* Develop and refine co-investment and fund economics models (waterfall structures, carried interest, hurdle rates, IRR/MOIC optimisation)
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
* Own end-to-end budgeting and forecasting cycles — including annual operating plans, rolling quarterly re-forecasts, and long-range strategic plans
* Translate investment strategy and macro themes into quantitative portfolio-level financial projections and capital deployment roadmaps
* Provide the leadership team with forward-looking, scenario-driven insights to support opportunistic deal execution and portfolio repositioning
* Develop fund-level and firm-level KPI frameworks that align financial performance with strategic objectives
Performance Analysis & Reporting
* Produce authoritative management reporting packs: board presentations, LP/investor reports, portfolio performance dashboards, and ad hoc briefs
* Monitor and analyse portfolio performance versus benchmark, identifying deviations, attribution factors, and actionable recommendations
* Build and maintain executive-grade dashboards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and integrate live data feeds for real-time performance visibility
* Consolidate financial and operational data across portfolio companies, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness
* Lead the financial components of new investment due diligence — including quality of earnings analysis, financial health assessment, and return profiling
* Evaluate business cases, market entry opportunities, and capital structuring options in partnership with the investment team
* Support transaction execution by preparing investment committee memos, financial summaries, and deal-specific analytics
* Track and model fund liquidity, capital call schedules, and distribution waterfalls across the portfolio
AI & Technology-Driven Finance
* Leverage AI-powered financial tools and platforms to enhance the speed, depth, and accuracy of financial analysis, including:
o Bloomberg Terminal with AI analytics overlays and predictive scenario modules
o Visible Alpha, Sentieo, or AlphaSense for AI-driven document intelligence and earnings analysis
o Palantir Foundry or similar data integration platforms for alternative data aggregation
o Generative AI tools (Claude, GPT-4-class models) for draft report generation, covenant summarisation, and scenario narrative production
* Champion the ongoing integration of AI and automation into the firm's financial infrastructure — identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and improve analytical throughput
* Ensure all AI-assisted outputs maintain the firm's standards of rigour, accuracy, and confidentiality
Process Excellence & Internal Controls
* Strengthen and formalise financial planning processes, internal controls, and data governance frameworks appropriate for a high-trust, confidential investment environment
* Design scalable financial infrastructure as the firm's AUM and operational complexity grows
* Serve as a subject matter expert on finance systems and tools, contributing to technology selection and onboarding decisions
Qualifications & Experience
* 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, investment management, or a closely related field, with significant exposure to Alternative assets
* Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, including LBO, DCF, fund waterfall, and portfolio-level aggregation models — built from first principles
* Proven ownership of full planning cycles: AOP, re-forecasting, and long-range planning in a sophisticated financial or investment context
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including dynamic arrays, Power Query, VBA); strong working knowledge of Power BI or Tableau
* Strong command of alternative investment structures — including private equity fund economics, venture capital return mechanics, co-investments, and LP/GP dynamics
