<div><p><b>Role: Health, Safety and Environment Lead</b></p><p><b>Location:</b> Bridgwater – Somerset</p><p><b>Salary:</b>£45,000 to £54,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package.</p><p>A pleasure to represent a growing business within the FMCG industry, who is looking for their next Health, Safety and Environment professional to be a subject matter expert on a single production site. Also, you will have onsite HSE representatives to coach and guide.</p><h3>Vacancy overview</h3><ul><li>Seeking a hands‑on professional who is visible and approachable across the site.</li><li>A proven leader to help raise the bar for safety on site, helping them towards safety excellence.</li><li>Be the subject matter expert for the site supporting them with their Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.</li><li>Work in hand in hand with the site leadership team to ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Environmental Management Procedures and support their strategy.</li><li>A key member of the site senior leadership team and offer support and guidance.</li><li>To influence, collaborate and engage key stakeholders to proactively manage site development for HSE, continuous improvement of safer ways of working.</li><li>Coaching and mentoring will be provided through Site Director and Senior HSE Manager who is based centrally.</li><li>Help standardise the group alongside Senior HSE Manager, for this site and support the conversion of group/ companywide standards for this site.</li><li>Provide oversight of legislative compliance to the H&S Manager and Site Management Teams through leading & supporting audits and inspections.</li><li>Proactively manage and undertake incident investigations to reach root cause, monitor and report on close out of resulting actions.</li><li>Work in collaboration with the site leadership teams to develop and manage the Site Health, Safety and Environment management plans on a risk‑based approach engaging with site teams to deliver targeted improvement initiatives.</li></ul><h3>Personality fit</h3><ul><li>Empowering, energetic and engaging.</li><li>Takes pride in the brand, their work and is passionate.</li><li>Not afraid to get stuck in and support.</li><li>Adaptable and flexible in their approach to HSE.</li><li>Able to communicate positively and collaborate well across all levels of the workforce and across different departments.</li></ul><h3>Ideal background and qualifications</h3><ul><li>Fast‑paced manufacturing experience ideally within the bakery, food, drink, paper, packaging, tobacco, brewing, dairy or beverage industries.</li><li>Diploma level qualified in Health and Safety such as NEBOSH, NVQ Level 5/6, IOSH Level 6 in process or already completed will be accepted.</li></ul><p><b>Interested?
