What You'll Be Doing:
* Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to design, develop, and maintain our main website.
* Lead the development of interactive microsites for major Union campaigns and events like Welcome Week, The Elections, SU Awards, and more.
* Continuously improve our digital platforms by monitoring performance, identifying enhancements, and introducing new functionalities to improve UX.
* Ensure robust website functionality and troubleshoot issues swiftly and effectively.
* Maintain clear documentation, coding standards, and version control protocols.
* Operate the website helpdesk, supporting Union teams with web-related requests and changes.
* Stay current on web trends and technologies, and promote the adoption of best practices.
* Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and data privacy regulations.
* Make proactive, strategic recommendations for long-term improvements and user experience upgrades.
What You'll Bring:
* Proven experience or a qualification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
* Demonstrable experience in web development and design, paid or voluntary.
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
* Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or similar).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
* A confident, adaptable approach to working with diverse teams.
* Solid organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks.
