About the Position: This position is located in the Occupational Medicine Department at the 412th Medical Group at Edwards Air Force Base, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Responsibilities
Major Duties:
* Provide comprehensive Occupational Medicine nursing care for beneficiaries, including military and federal civilian employees.
* Conduct independent targeted worksite surveys and industrial inspections to evaluate work practices for health or safety risks.
* Manage a base-specific Worker’s Compensation program for occupational injuries and illnesses.
* Participate in continuing education to maintain and update skills and knowledge annually.
* Evaluate occupational health programs and adapt services to meet evolving needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants must meet education and/or experience requirements, including paid, unpaid, volunteer, or service work. Your resume must clearly detail relevant experience. If qualifying by education, transcripts are required.
Basic Requirements for Clinical Nurse:
* Degree: A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's, associate, or diploma from an accredited nursing program recognized by a U.S. accrediting body. Attach transcripts.
* Licensure: Active, unrestricted nursing license from a U.S. state or territory, with passing of the NCLEX exam.
* Foreign Degree: Graduates from foreign schools must have CGFNS certification, including credential evaluation, CGFNS exam, and English proficiency proof. Submit CGFNS certificate.
Exemption: Current federal employees in the 0610 series employed since before September 27, 2017, are exempt if they meet certain conditions and provide validation documentation.
Additional Qualification: One year of professional nursing experience providing care to Occupational Health patients, conducting assessments, and patient/staff education, in addition to the basic educational requirements.
