* To maintain sanitary levels throughout service areas, storage areas, equipment and work areas and to utilize interventions when appropriate to meet the needs of the residents and facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
* Is knowledgeable of and understands the needs of the resident population.
* Executes department practices, procedures, safety regulations, and guidelines and follows policies that will effectively maintain housekeeping program and services for Heritage.
* Maintains required sanitary levels throughout all areas at Heritage, ensures proper handling and sanitation of various equipment, ensuring all sanitation is in conjunction with local and corporate health and sanitation requirements.
* Assures that areas and equipment are properly maintained for convenience and safety, operating to manufacturer’s specifications and reports repairs or replacement parts needed for equipment.
* Adheres to Universal Precautions and Infection Control Policies, including following established hand washing procedures, use of appropriate PPE and supplies when handling infectious materials.
* Keeps work area(s) free of hazardous conditions, i.e., grease/oil spills, excess supplies, equipment, etc., to assure that all established safety rules/regulations are always followed. Refers to materials safety when necessary.
* Follows OSHA regulations in bending, lifting, and using equipment and wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies and uses proper mechanics while performing duties (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts, etc. when moving or lifting heavy objects).
* Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, and other departments within Heritage, to assure that all functions can be properly planned and maintained to meet the needs of Heritage.
* Adheres to department working hours and assignments within guidelines set by supervisor, following all schedules as outlined by supervisor, works beyond normal working hours in emergencies, on weekends and holidays, when necessary, and in other positions, temporarily, when necessary.
* Drives Heritage vehicles for errands, transporting, or other uses as directed.
* Reports all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, no matter how minor they may be, and immediately reports any personal accident or work-related injury to your supervisor or designee.
* Participates in programs designed for in-service education, on the job training and orientation classes.
* Maintains the confidentiality of all resident information, including protected health information and reports of known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of said information.
* Performs other job-related duties as requested by the Executive Director and/or to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.
* Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.
* High School degree or equivalent.
* Experience in housekeeping services preferred.
* Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of the job is to clean and disinfect the private and common areas through the Heritage Facility. Is knowledgeable of and understands the needs of the resident population.

40 hrs. per week, Rot Days, 6:30a- -3p., Occ. Weekends & Holidays
