Very excitingly, from September 2026, WMG Academy Trust will welcome its first cohort of Year 9 students. This marks a significant milestone in our journey and enables us to further shape and strengthen our UTC curriculum, reinforcing our business-like, business-led ethos from an even earlier stage.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: A VERY SPECIAL DIGITAL TEACHER
We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Teacher of Digital (Computer Science and Electronics) to join our team. Working under the direction of the Line Manager, you will deliver consistently high-quality teaching across Year 9, Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring excellent student outcomes.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional classroom practitioner who embraces our vision and integrated engineering curriculum, inspiring students to develop strong digital, computational, and (where appropriate) electronic skills. You will foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment, placing a high priority on safeguarding and student wellbeing, while supporting the academy’s ambition to prepare learners for further study and careers in engineering, computing, and related fields.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative curriculum and make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development.
YOU WILL HAVE:
● 5 A*- C (or 9-4) grades at GCSE including English and Maths
● Evidence of continuous professional development.
● Experience of working knowledge of Digital, Computer Science and where appropriate
Electronics in the National Curriculum.
● The ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
● The ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of STEM and Engineering Curriculum and how
this is fundamental to the being a UTC
