Temporary Customer Service Representative (10‑Month Contract) – Basingstoke – £15 per hour

Our client is looking for a Customer Service Representative to support UK‑wide clinical and industrial customers for a 10‑month temporary assignment.
This role is based in Basingstoke, with plenty of available parking
You’ll play a key part in ensuring customers receive exceptional service — from managing orders and resolving delivery queries to coordinating with internal teams to keep everything running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Managing customer data — keeping records accurate and up to date forpliance and audit purposes.
2. Processing quotations & orders — raising quotes, orders and schedule agreements to agreed service levels.
3. Handling customer enquiries — providing friendly, efficient support via phone and email.
4. Working cross‑functionally — collaborating with distribution, planning, finance and sales operations to resolve issues and manage expectations.
5. Investigating queries &plaints — taking ownership and ensuring swift resolution.
6. Tracking deliveries — liaising with courier partners and monitoring shipment progress.
7. Supporting daily operations — contributing to daily meetings and managing shared inboxes.
8. Maintaining performance targets — helping achieve Lines On Time In Full (LOTIF) goals.
9. Promoting safety &pliance — followingpany policies and encouraging safe working practices.
10. What We’re Looking For
11. Customer service experience — ideally in a team‑based, customer‑facing environment.
12. Strongmunication skills — confident, clear and professional.
13. Excellent organisation & attention to detail — able to manage multiple tasks accurately.
14. Problem‑solving mindset — proactive and solutions‑focused.
15. SAP experience — desirable but not essential.
16. Good MS Word & Excel skills — intermediate to advanced level.
17. Pharmaceutical or scientific industry exposure (preferred but not required).
