The interim Clinical Lead Manager will support the Head of Quality, Safety and Improvement to develop and deliver an integrated quality management system across the organisation in line with the Duty of Quality.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide operational and professional leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of a robust quality and safety programme across the health board. This includes all elements of the health boards’ quality management systems, namely quality improvement, quality planning, quality control and quality assurance.
2. Interpret and implement organisational and national policies in relation to quality and safety and will be expected to advise the health board accordingly.
3. Establishes effective, professional, multidisciplinary relationships both within the health board and with outside organisations and stakeholders. Participates in local, regional and national meetings as appropriate.
4. Develop specialised training and educational strategies for all disciplines of staff that enhance quality improvement in order to deliver a positive impact for safe and effective care.
5. Provide line management, day to day operational management, clinical supervision and leadership for designated members of the team.
6. Deputises for the Head of Quality and Safety.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
7. Masters/ equivalent experience
8. In depth knowledge of quality governance
9. Knowledge over a range of disciplines; quality improvement methodologies, clinical audit/research, external regulation, inspection processes and compliance frameworks
10. Experience and evidence of leading and managing clinical quality improvement projects
11. Experience of leading and embedding organisational learning from incidents and audits
Desirable criteria
12. Experience of Programme Management /qualification or appropriate demonstrable equivalent experience
13. Welsh speaker
