Tate is looking for a Projects Supervisor (Electrical Installation / Multiskilled) to join our dedicated team supporting our world-class exhibitions and facilities. About the Role As a Projects Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out mechanical and electrical installation works and plant upgrades. This hands-on role will see you supporting the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for Tate’s exhibitions and buildings, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely across all Tate sites. Key Responsibilities Supervise and carry out mechanical and electrical installations and replacements across Tate buildings. Lead on fault diagnosis and rectification, ensuring high standards of engineering. Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to meet programme deadlines. Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and site quality assurance standards. Support Tate events and exhibitions and provide emergency response cover when necessary. What We’re Looking For Essential: City & Guilds (Electrical Installation 236) Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent 18th Edition qualification Test & Inspection certification Time-served apprenticeship Strong experience in electrical installation and maintenance in occupied buildings Knowledge of mechanical systems Desirable: Additional City & Guilds qualifications (e.g., Course C) GCSEs in Maths and English HV/LV system knowledge and AP status Health & Safety training You’ll Be Someone Who… Works well independently and within a team Can confidently supervise others and manage tasks from start to finish Is adaptable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure Communicates effectively and demonstrates a commitment to high-quality service Maintains professional standards and takes pride in their work Why Join Us?
