Year 6 Teacher – Wigan
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary with the potential for a permanent position

Salary: Pay-To-Scale (Dependent on experience)
An ambitious and forward-thinking primary school in the WN3 area of Wigan is looking to appoint a skilled Year 6 Teacher from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide pupils through their final year of primary school, helping them to achieve their best academically while building the confidence and skills they will need in secondary education.
We are seeking someone who can deliver engaging lessons that encourage learners, consolidate key knowledge, and prepare them for the end of Key Stage 2 assessments.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Plan and teach high-quality lessons that cover the full breadth of the upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Prepare pupils for SATs by building exam technique and providing continuous support.
* Create a classroom environment that encourages effort, independence, and perseverance.
* Promote personal, social, and emotional development alongside academic success.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching upper Key Stage 2.
* Secure understanding of Year 6 curriculum requirements and assessment frameworks.
* Strong behaviour management skills with a positive, proactive approach.
* A commitment to working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
