Role Overview
Teaching Specialist – undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy programmes, part‑time 0.5 FTE, fixed‑term contract 2 years, part of the University of Portsmouth Academic Services Ltd.
Responsibilities
* Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy programmes responding to student needs as a member of a teaching team.
* Participate in and initiate teaching and scholarship in accordance with School / Faculty objectives.
* Engage with the student experience and enhance student employability and enterprise opportunities.
* Support the school in marketing, outreach and widening participation activities.
* Apply particular expertise in one or more physiotherapy specialities; basic knowledge of all core physiotherapy specialities is a prerequisite.
Qualifications
* PhD or equivalent in physiotherapy, or a recognised qualification and experience that demonstrate the ability to teach at university level within the physiotherapy curriculum.
* Evidence of high quality academic teaching and a demonstrated learning record.
* Experience of delivering practical teaching and assessment within physiotherapy programmes to undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts.
* Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of the core physiotherapy curriculum.
Location
Portsmouth, hybrid working available for part‑time role. Some days a week on campus required.
