The Role
The Assistant Design Manager supports the management of Data Centre design projects in the UK and internationally. Responsibilities include assisting the Senior Design Manager with liaising across design disciplines, tracking progress, and coordinating design issues.
This role involves managing design tools such as trackers for client requirements, comments, meetings, actions, schedules, and filing systems. It also includes supporting organizational tasks like scheduling meetings, workshops, site visits, and taking notes during meetings.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist in managing large-scale data centre projects.
* Follow up on design team assignments and actions.
* Support document management and maintain project filing systems.
* Help manage design tools and trackers for meetings, comments, and variations.
* Assist in controlling change management processes.
* Coordinate design stage issues and follow up on deliverables.
* Organize project meetings, workshops, and site visits, including logistics.
* Participate in meetings, take notes, and liaise with clients and internal teams.
* Support the commercial team with required inputs.
* Monitor adherence to QA procedures across disciplines.
