Job Description
As a Talent Sourcer you will play a vital role in identifying, evaluating, and engaging top-tier executive talent for open and speculative opportunities. You will possess a deep understanding of executive-level roles, strong research skills, and the ability to build relationships with potential candidates. You will contribute significantly to the success of executive searches by providing high-quality candidate pipelines and market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering against live requisitions to close critical skills gaps within the firm, leading headhunting activities, developing candidate pools in key growth areas, tracking and engaging with the best passive diverse talent in the market.
Strategic Sourcing and Market Intelligence
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and talent market trends and leverage skills taxonomies and business knowledge to identify key talent trends.
* Deliver market intelligence reports and presentations to inform executive search strategies including competitor and location data points and associated trends.
* Deliver competitor analysis information to support hiring decisions, reward, and potential M&A discussions (including a competitor calendar).
* Advise and inform the business of the total addressable market for talent and present information on the likelihood of meeting selection criteria.
Candidate Identification and Engagement
* Proactively engage passive candidates and build relationships to generate interest in potential opportunities (written messages, phone, and face-to-face).
* Create comprehensive diverse talent pools, long lists, and short lists of candidate profiles, including detailed work history, qualifications, and assessment of fit for specific roles. Including identifying contact information where available.
* Continuously seek innovative approaches to improve research methodologies, engage talent, and enhance candidate identification efforts.
Collaboration and Relationship Management
* Collaborate effectively with executive recruiters and hiring managers to understand specific requirements and provide tailored candidate recommendations, respectfully challenging where necessary.
* Maintain relationships with supporting research teams to ensure appropriate sharing of talent pools and market intel.
Workflow and Operational Support
* Operate in a robust process with pre-defined points within the hiring manager and candidate journey.
* SLAs and KPIs: Work to specific service level agreements and key performance indicators, tracking against progress and raising issues (such as bottlenecks) if deliverables are projecting off target.
* Support the executive sourcing manager in all aspects of operational delivery.
Data Management and Reporting
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and research findings within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
* Reporting: Provide ad-hoc operational reporting support and contribute to monthly reporting requirements.
Confidentiality and Discretion
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Team and Role Specific Responsibilities
* Responsible for making Executive level placements, aligned with the firm's demand plan and growth initiatives.
* Understand Hiring Needs and design and adopt appropriate hiring approach to deliver against requirements.
* Ability to support the hiring team on job briefings, translating key business intel into candidate briefing documents, creating a job library for current and future hiring needs.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in executive search research or a related talent acquisition role.
* Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to influence and persuade passive candidates.
* Ability to inform, educate, influence and persuade hiring managers.
* Strong research skills, including the ability to utilise various online databases and sourcing tools.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Proactive, problem-solving approach with a willingness to take initiative.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with LinkedIn Talent Insights and other related talent research tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate relationship management tools (CRMs).
* Curious to learn, develop and drive your own growth.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience within a Big 4 or similar professional services firm.
* Experience specifically with senior-level or executive recruitment.
* Knowledge of recruitment best practices.
* Familiarity with Avature.
