About the role
We're now looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our growing team and help us continue delivering the highest standards of workmanship and customer care. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
* Diagnose and repair vehicle faults using technical manuals and schematics
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, electrics)
* Use hand and power tools for vehicle assembly/disassembly
* Carry out welding and equipment repairs when required
* Perform vehicle diagnostics including ADAS and geometry
* Carry out pre‑MOT repairs to VOSA MOT standards
* Complete mechanical repairs on Ambulance Trust vehicles
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
* Handle heavy lifting tasks during repairs and maintenance
* Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high standards of care and satisfaction
About you
* Proven mechanical knowledge with at least 2 years’ experience in vehicle repair & maintenance (essential)
* Right to work in the UK (essential)
* Full clean driving licence (essential)
* C1 (desirable but not essential)
* F‑gas accreditation (desirable but not essential)
* Confident using hand and power tools
* Familiarity with schematics for diagnosing vehicle issues
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a team
* Capability to safely perform heavy lifting when required
