Financial Lines Major Loss Adjuster
At AIG, join our world‑class claims function as a Major Loss Adjuster. You will handle high‑value, complex claims from coverage inquiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis.
How You Will Make an Impact
* Responsible for a portfolio of high‑value, complex claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
* Minimize indemnity exposure and mitigate vendor and legal expense, while demonstrating ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ principles.
* Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders as a technical claims expert.
* Provide training and act as a technical referral point for colleagues.
* Support continuous improvement through Quality Assurance / Regional Audit processes, mitigating indemnity and expense exposure.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Advanced knowledge of legal, regulatory and litigation requirements for Financial Lines.
* Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and ADR on higher‑value complex claims.
* Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
* Track record of following up effectively on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement.
* Ability to influence claims and non‑claims stakeholders to direct claims strategy.
* Ability to assist with technical training to the team’s claim handlers as required.
