Your Role We are currently seeking a Local IT Administrator to support the IT infrastructure and users at our Newmarket site, contributing to the smooth operation of our production and office environments, and ensuring our technology supports our growth and excellence. This is a newly created, hands-on position for a proactive, technically skilled, and service-oriented IT professional. You’ll serve as the primary local IT contact while working in collaboration with the Regional IT Manager UK/I and Central IT teams. Your Profile Provide first-line and selected second-line support for all IT hardware and software (desktops, laptops, local servers, printers, mobile devices). Manage IT service requests and incidents via ServiceNow, prioritising, resolving, or escalating as needed—while ensuring clear communication with end users. Triage and dispatch IT support tickets across the UK/I region. Deliver user training and advice in a clear, non-technical manner aligned with Central IT standards. Configure, install, and test hardware/software solutions according to internal specifications. Support onboarding of new starters: setup, configuration, and distribution of IT equipment. Maintain the IT asset register and oversee returns, repairs, and secure disposal of obsolete equipment. Ensure the server room is maintained to high standards—clean, secure, and operational. Administer Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Office 365, and MS Office desktop apps. Maintain and document local infrastructure and business-critical applications. Contribute to regional and global IT projects, infrastructure rollouts, and system upgrades. Provide onsite IT support for internal/external events and business continuity activities. Promote and implement IT best practices, including security awareness and compliance with MM Group policies. Take ownership of local business applications, backup management, patching, and database maintenance. Support annual IT budgeting for infrastructure at the Newmarket site. Act as an IT ambassador, ensuring high user satisfaction and continuous improvement of local IT services.
