Are you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey? We are currently recruiting for SEMH Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and busy primary school in Kirkby. This is an exciting temp to perm opportunity starting in October 2025, offering the chance to work closely with young pupils in a nurturing environment that values your contribution and dedication.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children who require additional help to thrive emotionally and socially within the classroom. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to create a safe, calm, and encouraging atmosphere where pupils can develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and eager to make a positive impact on children’s lives.
The ideal candidate will be:
Patient, warm, and calming in their approach to pupils
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Confident in communicating effectively with children, staff, and parents
Able to work flexibly with a range of age groups and varying needs
Committed to promoting inclusion and wellbeing within the school environment
Ideally Level 2 Qualified

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
