SEN Teaching Assistant
Join our team at Aspire School, Kidderminster. We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs.
About The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant at Aspire School, you will play a key role in supporting children with a range of needs, including trauma, autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), anxiety, and personal care requirements. You will work alongside our experienced staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment, helping students to build their confidence, independence, and academic skills.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to children with special educational needs.
* Assist with personal care needs where required.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage emotional and social development.
* Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized learning plans.
* Help with managing student behaviour and promoting emotional well‑being.
* Support the inclusion of all students in school activities and social interactions.
About You
* Experienced or willing to learn in supporting children with SEN, including autism, SEMH, anxiety, and trauma.
* Patient, empathetic, and committed to improving the lives of young people.
* Flexible and able to adapt to the individual needs of students.
* Team‑oriented, working well with colleagues, parents, and external specialists.
* An excellent communicator with a positive approach to problem‑solving.
