Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. Assist in delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet individual learning needs. Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development through positive reinforcement. Help with personal care needs, ensuring student safety and well-being. Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor and track student progress. Promote positive behaviour and encourage student independence. Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Experience working with students with special educational needs. Understanding of the national curriculum and SEN support strategies. Ability to use engaging teaching methods to make learning accessible. Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for supporting SEN students. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
