About Our Client

Job Description
3. Conduct detailed inspections of residential properties to identify disrepair issues such as damp, mould, structural defects, and leaks
4. Diagnose root causes of building defects and recommend appropriate remedial works
5. Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, including photographic evidence and clear findings
6. Produce schedules of works and cost estimates to address identified disrepair
7. Manage disrepair cases in line with legal and regulatory requirements
8. Liaise with tenants, contractors, and legal teams to coordinate repairs and resolve claims
9. Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure works are completed to required standards, on time and within budget
10. Maintain accurate records and documentation to support legal cases and audits
11. Provide technical advice and support in relation to housing disrepair and maintenance issues
12. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and housing standards throughout all works
The Successful Applicant
Essential Experience
13. Experience in property surveying, building maintenance, or repairs (often 2-5+ years)
14. Background in social housing, local authority, or housing association
15. Experience dealing with disrepair cases or complaints
16. Conducting property inspections and preparing reports
Desirable Experience
17. Handling legal disrepair claims
18. Giving evidence in court or supporting legal teams
19. Working with housing management systems (e.g. repairs databases)
