Commissioning Manager, Older People, Ageing Well & Dementia
Permanent
37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
6 Knowsley Place and agile working (typically 2 days per week in the office - Mondays & Thursdays)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commissioning Team.
The post will:
* Be responsible for commissioning services from a range of Care Providers to support people over 50+ to live well and promote independence.
* Contribute to; and implement commissioning strategies which deliver change (e.g. lead workshops with social workers, providers and residents to understand the needs of older people and people living with dementia)
* Lead on the creation of innovative approaches to high quality, affordable and outcomes focused services.
You will have a thorough knowledge of legislation governing social care; and of national and local strategies which are relevant to health and social care needs. Having a good knowledge of commissioning and strategy, you have excellent communication and negotiation skills, which will make sure that outcomes are achieved through joint working. Solution-focused, you will have experience of working with people at different levels within an organisation and also of working with complex information. Staff development includes access to coaching and development opportunities e.g. apprenticeships.
