Part Time Premises Assistant: 0700 to 0815 Monday to Friday (52 weeks per annum)
We are currently seeking to appoint a Part-time Premises Assistant.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening the nursery school site each morning and completing checks of the external areas to ensure the external areas are safe prior to the start of the school day.
The job holder is responsible for ensuring the outside space is maintained to a high standard, always in a safe, clean and secure condition.
Notify the school of any external faults, with due regard for the health, safety and welfare of all users.
This role will suit someone living in the local area looking for a part time role, or possibly a student who would like a part time role prior to attending college.
If interested, the candidate could also provide occasional ad hoc cleaning work in the evenings to cover staff absence
Duties
* Responsible for checking the external areas of the site, ensuring these are well lit, clean, and safe, promptly identifying faults, daily safety checks of perimeter walls and fencing and gritting in freezing conditions.
* Daily checks of external play equipment.
* Notifying the Health and Safety Compliance Manager of any faults and assessing their priority.
* Manage all tools and materials and ensure these are stored safely.
* Check functionality of all safety systems, following agreed processes for testing (e.g. weekly call point testing, intruder alarm faults).
