Job Title: Tutor - Alternative Provision - Nottingham & Surrounding Areas Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Salary: Competitive hourly rates £100-£150 per day (dependent on experience and subject specialism) Job Type: Part-Time, Flexible, Temporary Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities available Are you a passionate Tutor looking to make a real difference outside the traditional classroom? Monarch Education is recruiting Tutors to work in Alternative Provisions across Nottingham and nearby areas, supporting young people who are unable to access mainstream education. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Tutor to work one-to-one or in small groups with students who may have experienced barriers to learning due to SEN, SEMH, medical needs, or exclusion. You'll help re-engage learners, build confidence, and support academic progress in a flexible and nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored tuition sessions in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) or other specialisms Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs Build positive relationships and encourage engagement Track progress and provide feedback to schools and parents Work in homes, libraries, community centres, or alternative education settings Ideal Candidates Will Have: QTS, PGCE, or tutoring experience (qualified teachers and experienced Tutors welcome) Experience working with vulnerable or disengaged learners Strong communication and behaviour management skills A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Why Work With Monarch Education?
