Neos Engineering are working with a leading national engineering contractor specialising in high-voltage (HV) switchgear and power distribution across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects, they are seeking an experienced HV SAP to join their team in the South East.
The Role:
* Act as the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) responsible for HV switchgear operations and safety on live sites
* Manage site authorisations, switching activities, and safety procedures in line with DNO and company standards
* Supervise HV isolations, testing, and commissioning tasks
* Liaise with DNOs, site teams, and clients to ensure project safety and compliance
* Lead safety briefings, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to relevant legislation
* Maintain accurate documentation including switching schedules and test reports
* Support project delivery teams during installation and maintenance phases
The Candidate:
* Proven experience as an HV SAP or similar role in the utilities, construction, or engineering sectors
* Full DNO authorisation (preferably ENWL, NPG, SPEN, or other Midlands-based networks)
* Strong knowledge of HV safety rules, isolation procedures, and operational standards
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Capable of managing multiple stakeholders and projects concurrently
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Midlands region
