Let’s be honest: quality roles can sometimes get lost in process and paperwork.
This isn’t one of those roles.
We’re looking for a Technical Coordinator who genuinely cares about making great food the right way. Someone who understands that quality isn’t just a department — it’s a standard that the whole site should live and breathe.
Technical Coordinator
Worcestershire
Monday to Friday, 40 hours
This is a hands-on role where your voice will be heard. You’ll be central to how we run our Quality Management System (QMS), manage audits, and drive improvement. Not just to meet standards, but to raise them.
What you’ll actually be doing:
Looking after the QMS — keeping it current, compliant and useful
Leading internal and external audits (BRC, customer audits, etc.)
Managing the site’s lab and making sure testing is spot-on
Supporting the ops team on quality controls — not just checking their work
Tracking key metrics like the Quality Index and turning numbers into action
Building great relationships with suppliers and customers
Finding ways to reduce waste and improve how things are done
Sharing knowledge and helping others get better at what they do
What we’re looking for:
Experience as a Technical Coordinator, Assistant Technical Manager, or similar
Strong knowledge of QMS, HACCP (Level 4), and food safety standards
Familiar with BRC and retailer audits — ideally in a chilled or dairy environment
Confident communicator, both on the shop floor and in front of an auditor
Good with Excel, organised, and not fazed by the detail
Someone who genuinely wants to make a difference
What you’ll get in return:
A competitive salary
Up to 10% annual bonus
33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Life assurance (4x salary)
Free, secure onsite parking
Access to discounts at 800+ retailers
A team that backs each other and takes pride in doing things properly
If you’re someone who likes being at the heart of quality — solving problems, improving systems, and being a trusted voice in the room — this could be a great fit.
