Our client – a pioneering tech organisation operating at the edge of innovation – is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a growing team of software engineers. You’ll be working on deeply technical, end-to-end software solutions that support advanced hardware systems, influencing everything from real-time control layers to compilers and application-facing interfaces.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with talented software developers and domain scientists, helping define and deliver software that underpins revolutionary systems used both internally and externally. About You
You’ll be stepping into an established leadership role with room to make it your own. You’ll bring a strong technical background, ideally across several of the following areas:
* Real-time embedded systems
* Compiler or assembler development
* System monitoring or data centre tooling
* Full-stack development (Python, Rust)
* Graph-based or algorithmic problem-solving
You’ll also be comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping process as you go — perfect for someone who enjoys building not just software, but great software teams.

* Proven experience managing and scaling software teams across multiple projects
* Strong technical leadership – from strategic planning to hands-on guidance
* Experience balancing short-term delivery and long-term technical quality
* Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle practices
* Excellent communication skills, including cross-team and external stakeholder engagement
* Experience defining triage and support systems for growing user bases is a plus
* Exposure to branching strategies, release cycles, estimation and tracking delivery is advantageous
