Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include water companies, local authorities, highways / rail authorities, and developers. It’s an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued framework successes, we seek to recruit an Associate Project Manager, to join our Water and Wastewater Team in Bristol or Cardiff to lead one of our key Engineering and Consultancy projects, with a leading UK Water Company, as well as support our expanding portfolio of projects across the UK. Your Purpose: You will be a practicing Project Manager with project delivery experience, ideally within a consultancy environment. Working with the support of the wider Networks and Drainage Solutions (N&DS) team, you will be responsible for delivering schemes to budget and programme and be the first point of contact with clients. Project Management and Project Direction, including managing resources, budgets and programmes and coordinating with other disciplines. The development of client relationships with our key Water Company and non-Water Company clients. Deliver governance arrangements for projects within business policies and procedures to ensure a robust outcome. Manage the project within client and AtkinsRéalis agreed budgets. Negotiate and administer change control in accordance with the contract. Management of risks through the project life cycle. Clear and accurate monitoring and reporting of project performance against programme, technical quality, financial and KPI targets; both internally and externally. As a project and people leader, build, motivate, guide and develop project teams and the PM community across N&DS. Drive best Project Management practices across the N&DS. What you can bring: Experience in a Senior Project Management position. Experience working in the UK water industry, with proven skills in growing and building strong relationships with clients. Experience in leading a team of project managers, working across a range of projects, driving best practice, and development of people. Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, in particular NEC3 or 4. Demonstrate a proactive and flexible working attitude, is adaptable and responds positively in response to challenges. Why work for AtkinsRéalis?
