This company serves a diverse range of clients, including Main Contractors as well as those in the public and private sectors, across commercial, industrial, and large-scale domestic markets.

Strong knowledge of domestic retrofit and commercial energy sectors (e.g., PAS 2035, SHDF, PSDS, heat decarbonisation plans).

Job Description
As a Tender Manager / Bid Writer, you will play a vital role in securing new contracts by developing compelling bid submissions. You will manage the tender process, ensure compliance, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver winning proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Manage the end-to-end tender process for public and private sector clients, including PQQs, ITTs, and framework submissions.
*
Research and identify new tender opportunities across domestic retrofit, commercial decarbonisation, and energy performance projects.
*
Write and tailor high-quality responses to demonstrate compliance, competence, innovation, and added value.
*
Coordinate with internal teams (technical, commercial, operations, HSEQ) and external partners (OEMs, consultants) to compile accurate bid content.
*
Ensure submission deadlines are met and bids are fully compliant with client specifications and scoring methodologies.
*
Maintain and improve a bid library of standard responses, case studies, project references, CVs, and policies.
*
Attend site visits, clarification meetings, and post-bid reviews where required.
*
Monitor bid outcomes and support lessons-learned sessions to improve win rates.
Qualifications:
*
Proven experience as a Bid Writer / Tender Manager within the renewable energy, M&E, or construction sector.
*
Strong knowledge of contract terms (JCT, NEC3/4, etc.).
*
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with bid management software is a plus.
*
Familiarity with funding schemes and procurement portals (e.g., Proactis, Delta, Contracts Finder).
Must Have:
*
Strong commercial awareness and bid-writing expertise.
Desirable Skills:
*
APMP or similar bid/proposal qualification.
*
Experience working on bids with public sector housing providers, local authorities, or main contractors.
*
Understanding of carbon reduction targets, EPC improvements, and funding-linked tender requirements.
