Job Description
Assemble, groom, maintain, and repair tooling in an efficient and safe manner.
Remove and install dies from presses, including press set-ups and troubleshooting.
Utilize quality assurance practices and metrology equipment to ensure that products conform to applicable design specifications.
Grind tooling and perform alignment checks on dies to ensure parts conform to design specifications and that cutting stations are correctly aligned.
Store die tooling efficiently as they are received.
Identify if any tooling may need to be modified from print and record modifications.
Utilize good housekeeping practices (5S) to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Record die maintenance and preventive maintenance in the Die Log Book accurately and promptly.
Must have completed the state-approved Tool & Die Apprentice program and have 5+ years of hands-on experience working with progressive stamping dies, specifically focused on thin metal, high-speed applications.
