An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Dental Nurse with GDC registration, to join our hardworking team within the Oral, Orthodontic & Maxillofacial Surgery Outpatients, at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Dental Nurse to work within our busy Outpatient Department on a part time basis to cover maternity leave, for 12 months. The post is part time for 24.75 hours working over 3 days, with the need to be flexible.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work closely with the whole team to develop and continue their skills.
Duties will include:
* Working within a mixed role multidisciplinary team
* Preparing clinical areas and specialist equipment
* Assisting in minor oral surgery, minor Maxillofacial surgery, and orthodontics treatments
* Assisting in clinics for patients with Head and Neck Cancers, TMJ conditions, Facial deformity and complex dental treatment
* Assisting and maintaining efficient and effective care for patients in line with best practice and current guidelines
* Self-motivation and excellent communication skills

* On the General Dental Council register for Dental Nurses
* Dental Nurse qualification and chairside experience in Dental practice or Hospital Oral Surgery
* Up to date evidence of CPD training
* Any additional post certificate / qualification i.e. Oral Health educator, Dental radiography, Sedation
* Self motivation, evidence of further development in current or previous role
* Experience working in a team
