Long Term Teachers are looking for a Cover Manager to support a school in the Bath area. We are looking for an individual who is organised and reliable. Ideally, the role would suit someone with teaching experience also, to understand the processes within the school as well as to be available for cover duties.
As cover manager, you will be responsible for organizing and managing staff absences to ensure minimal disruption to student learning. This may include both short-term and long- term cover. using both in-house cover supervisors and external supply staff. Effective communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to problem - solve are key attributes for successful cover manager
Responsibilities :
* Coordinating daily cover arrangements for planned and unplanned absences.
* Communicating absences to relevant staff (Heads of Department, line managers, etc.).
* Ensuring cover work is provided by teaching staff or cover supervisors.
* Managing the workload of in-house cover supervisors.
* Maintaining records of staff absences and cover undertaken.
* Preparing and distributing cover sheets and related information.
* Managing room changes and ensuring proper communication.
