Overview
The Alternative Provision Coordinator Lead will work closely with students who are at risk of permanent exclusion or have already been permanently excluded. The role focuses on supporting these students to achieve their personal goals by coordinating effective interventions and ensuring access to high-quality learning opportunities, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external support agencies to implement strategies that promote student engagement and achievement. About the Academy
This is a permanent role working 37 hours a week 39 weeks a year – Term Time Only. We are unapologetically ambitious with the highest expectations and aspirations for students in Years 7 to 11. Responsibilities
Responsibilities include working with students at risk of exclusion to coordinate interventions, liaise with teachers, parents and external agencies, and implement strategies to promote engagement and achievement. The role involves contributing to a safe and supportive learning environment and ensuring access to high-quality learning opportunities.
Requirements / Qualifications
* GCSE/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Experience of working with children or young adults in an education setting.
* Experience liaising with external agencies and professionals on child protection matters (beneficial).
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a range of challenging issues and people including parents/carers, scholars, staff and the wider community.
