Job overview

This role will involve ad-hoc working in order to provide therapy for Osteoarthritis sufferers who have an additional diagnosis (including mental health), this may be the equivalent to 1-2 hours a week plus engaging in supervision sessions.

Training will be provided for this role, this would be for 2 x 4 hour sessions.

Main duties of the job

A therapists duties in intervention delivery include:

• Complete required initial training (4 × 2-hour sessions), and achieve certification as a “Bridges trained TIPTOE practitioner”.


• Deliver up to six (1:1) personalised coaching sessions (each up to ca minutes) over a 6-month period for participants randomised to the intervention arm.


• Utilise the co-designed “Living Well” book (sent to participants) to support self-management of OA + other conditions.


• Participate in ongoing practitioner support: drop‐in sessions, newsletters, exemplar videos, checklist reminders, to support intervention fidelity and continuous improvement.
