Placement Opportunity
The SAP UK 13‑month paid placement programme offers you an opportunity to learn and develop alongside experienced professionals. You will be given responsibility and exposure, and you’re encouraged to think big and dream big. The programme includes placements in the Belfast offices.
Roles
* Data DevOps Engineer – OctoVerse – contribution to infrastructure, containerised Elastic‑based solution, service‑oriented mindset.
* SAP Development/DevOps Placement Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Validation team (PlusOne) – design and development of Test‑as‑a‑Service, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes on SAP Cloud Infrastructure (SCI).
* AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Engineer – hyperscaler cloud engineering, QA, automation, cross‑cloud deployment.
Key Responsibilities (for placements)
* Engage with the entire tech stack: ELK stack, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Helm, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenStack, etc.
* Develop, test and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments (GitHub Actions, GitHub, Jenkins).
* Automate and streamline deployment processes.
* Collaboratively design new features and work closely with engineering and operations teams.
* For the infrastructure & validation role: design and develop Performance Tests for SAP HANA, storage, networking and compute.
What We’re Looking For
* A service‑oriented mindset and a problem‑solving attitude.
* A team player who enjoys collaborating and learning.
* Willingness to delve into technical details and acquire new skills.
* Experience in automation, CI/CD and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud) and container orchestration.
* Tech‑savvy, organised, and able to multi‑task under priority constraints.
* Student in last year of a relevant degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.) and available to start July 2025 / 2026 as the programme specifies.
