Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Merchandise Planning team plays a pivotal role within the business. They own and generate accurate sales volume forecasts and intake plans for each Product Group, coordinating inputs from Buyers and Suppliers.
The management of stock within company guidelines is key to maximise sales potential and minimise stock holding.
This role will work closely with the Supply Chain Merchandise Planners as well as the trading, imports, and DC teams.
The role will support the delivery of all Supply Chain Merchandise Planning KPIs, as well as support regular and effective communication with suppliers, report generation, and sales & stock analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Supply Chain Merchandise Planner with forecasts for sales volume, incorporating inputs from trading teams for promotions, new ranges, and seasons.
* Assist in managing stock intake plans to meet sales targets.
* Support in managing all aspects of Merchandise Planning KPIs, including DC and store availability, stock holding, stock turn, OTB, forecast accuracy, and DC capacity.
* Assist in inventory management within stock budgets and OTB limits.
* Make recommendations on stock issues and performance variances.
* Ensure administrative processes with the DC are correctly followed.
* Collaborate with relevant departments such as space planning, digital, and retail operations.
* Support range reviews and promotions to ensure timely and planned store landing.
* Assist with clearance of obsolete and redundant stock.
* Act as a day-to-day contact for suppliers.
* Generate category reports for the Merchandise Planning team.
* Serve as the second point of contact for store queries.
