Cogent Staffing are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/ FLT Driver for our established automotive distribution client based in Newtownabbey, Belfast.
This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks.
Shifts & salary:
Monday to Friday 23:00-07:00
£14.04 per hour
1 hour unpaid break per shift
42 hour working week average
Ongoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying period
To start as soon as possible.
Role details:
Generating pick sheets
Picking order loads from sheets
Carrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goods
Operating Counterbalance FLT on site if licence held
Using hand held scanners to pick orders
Manual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when required
Driving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per run
The candidate:
This is predominantly a warehouse role not driving, driving duties will only be in the event you need to cover a Driver who is absent etc. or during peak periods
Must have no more than 6 points on driving licence
Must be prepared to pick and load van daily
Has previous warehouse experience
Must be capable of lifting up to 30kg
Ideally holds a valid Counterbalance FLT licence
Comfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when needed
Happy to work within the warehouse not majority driving
