Hays Accountancy & Finance are supporting a leading technologypany in Norwich who needs an Assistant / Management Accountant to assist the wider finance team in reconciling ledgers, checking balance sheets and supporting the management accountants with monthly reporting. This will be at least a 3-month contract based in on the eastern outskirts of Norwich.
Your new role
As explained, this will be an ongoing temporary management accounting job supporting the Senior Management Accounting teams with collating financial data at month-end with a focus on journals, balance sheet postings, accruals and prepayments through to tidying up the balance sheet. This will be a 3-month contract role starting as soon as possible, and ideally you needmitment to the contract as you will be clearing the back-log of work, as well as being involved in the daily tasks as the organisation will be preparing for year-end. We expect you to be confident with Excel to analyse the financial data taken from their system.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience of monthly reporting covering accruals, prepayments, posting journals and closing the ledgers at month-end as well as be able to investigate any discrepancies requested by the Senior Management Accountant / Financial Controller.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid an hourly rate based on a salary of circa £25,000 - £35,000 depending on your experience and may be extended beyond the initial 3 months.
