This role would particularly suit an experienced primary teacher who is looking to transition into a specialist setting and make a profound difference in the lives of children with additional needs. The Role You will lead a small class of pupils with SEN, supported by a high ratio of skilled Teaching Assistants. The role involves: Planning and delivering personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. Adapting the primary curriculum to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental stages. Leading and managing a team of Teaching Assistants within your classroom. Supporting pupils with communication needs, sensory differences and, at times, challenging behaviour. Creating a calm, safe and nurturing classroom environment where every success is celebrated. Who We’re Looking For We would love to hear from you if you: Are a qualified primary teacher with strong classroom practice (QTS is essential) Have experience working with pupils with SEN (in mainstream or specialist settings). Are confident leading, directing and positively managing support staff. Have a calm, patient and flexible approach. Are committed to inclusive education and believe every child can achieve. Previous experience in a specialist setting is desirable, but not essential for the right candidate with a genuine passion for SEN and a willingness to learn.
