Job Description:
TheSous Chefwill work alongside the line chefs, to ensure every dish is prepared to ourhigh standards,theroleis aleadership role but still requires you to behands-on perfect for someone whostill lovescookingbut wants to perfect their leadership skills.
Withsuch alarge kitchen team,youare able tofocus on each aspect of the role, so that when you are onsectionwith the teamyou are focused on food quality and training and when you are on Pass you are fully focused on leading the team through a great service.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring correct prep levels by our dedicated prep team.
* Ensuring deliveries and stock are put away correctly by the Goods Receiver.
* Dailydue diligence.
* Junior staff wellbeing.
* Checking cleaning rotas are completed
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations hygiene standards.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff tomaintainconsistency and excellence in execution.
* Assistwithperformance management of kitchen personnel.
* Support the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef inmaintaininga positive work environment.
Requirements:
* Previousexperience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality and creativity.
* Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Experience in working with a large kitchen team.
* Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety practices, and culinary techniques.
* A knowledge of GP and stock control.
* Ability toorganiseand directmanychecks at once.
