Accountant (Permanent Role) Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation based in Kettering, who are looking to appoint a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their Finance team on a permanent basis .

The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will provide varied financial and accounting support across the organisation, including working closely with international teams and other departments within the business.
This is a broad and varied role offering exposure to management accounting, reporting, and operational finance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts and forecasts
Assisting with the year-end audit, including providing documentation and responding to auditor queries
Maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Responsibility for VAT reporting
Supporting monthly and annual stock takes
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Producing financial analysis and reports
Supporting standard costing processes
Setting up new customer accounts
Maintaining and updating existing customer accounts
Processing sales invoicing for international entities
Processing expense claims and company credit card statements
Managing foreign currency petty cash
Supporting the monthly payroll process
About You Essential Proven all-round accounts department experience, including involvement in the production of monthly management accounts
Ideally AAT qualified or part-qualified CIMA / ACCA (or equivalent)
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A team-oriented approach
Ability to work with intermediate level Excel spreadsheets
Ability to support and develop others within the team where required
Desirable Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central and Customer Engagement systems
Understanding of account consolidation
Payroll experience
