One of our esteemed clients; A Legal 500 firm with offices across Birmingham are actively looking for Residential Conveyancing Solicitors with at least 1 year PQE to join their busy property department.
This will involves managing a diverse and active caseload of residential matters from initial instruction through to post-completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a diverse varied portfolio of active files, including freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfer of equity.
* Experience on complex matters such as new build properties, shared ownership, right to buy and unregistered land.
* Conducting thorough title investigations, raising and responding to complex enquiries, and identifying potential risks to clients and lenders.
* Acting for high-street and specialist lenders, ensuring strict compliance with the UK Finance Mortgage Lenders' Handbook.
* Overseeing the accurate submission of SDLT returns and AP1 applications via digital portals.
* Maintaining regular, proactive communication with clients, estate agents, and mortgage brokers to ensure a smooth "exchange-to-completion" journey.
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor, CILEX, or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 1 year of Post-Qualification Experience in Residential Property.
* A strong understanding of the Birmingham and West Midlands property market.
* Experience using modern Case Management Systems (e.g., Leap, SOS, or Visualfiles) and digital ID/AML verification tools.
* Proven ability to meet monthly completion targets without compromising on technical accuracy or compliance.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues in "plain English."
