Job Description:
This organization is in search of a seasoned Product/Category Manager to play a crucial role in expanding and maximizing the profitability of their product lines. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of market dynamics and consumer behaviour. Responsibilities will include strategic planning, product development, and implementing marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform market analysis to detect trends and consumer demands, guiding product development and marketing strategies.
* Create detailed product strategies aimed at boosting market share and enhancing profitability.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams—such as marketing, sales, and product development—to ensure cohesive product initiatives.
* Track performance indicators to evaluate product effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
* Oversee product life cycles, from initial concept to launch and subsequent reviews.
* Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to promote collaboration and drive innovation.
Key Requirements:
* (5+ years) experience in product management or category management specifically within the sports, leisure, and apparel sectors.
* Ideal sporting sector includes rowing, golfing, tennis, and fishing.
* Need to have a vast understanding of the PIM system.
* Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while adhering to strict timelines.
* A thorough understanding of the market landscape or a genuine passion for golf.
* Demonstrate authority in a commercial environment and can clearly articulate product value to the sales team.
