Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of early childhood education. This role is essential in creating a nurturing and safe environment for children while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Duties
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a high standard of care and education for all children.
* Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery standards.
* Maintain accurate records related to children's progress, attendance, and staff performance.
* Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
* Organise activities that encourage social interaction and physical development among children.
Requirements
* Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting.
* Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications.
* Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to drive is preferred for transportation purposes related to nursery activities.
* A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to providing high-quality education.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

Desirable
* Qualification in Leadership for Children and Young People's services or working towards
* Current Paediatric First Aid
* Designated Safeguarding Lead training
