Job Description
As a rapidly growing business, we are excited to welcome a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to our success. If you're looking for a long-term career opportunity with a Main Contractor, where you can develop your skills and be part of an industry leading organisation, this role is for you.
You are responsible for the commercial success of the projects whilst adhering to commercial administration procedures. The sub-division in which this role relates to is the special projects division in which deals with mainly cladding remediation projects & fire remediation high risk buildings across the North
To promote and deliver a collaborative environment with both the client and throughout the management of the subcontract / supply chain account.
Contract Management Responsibilities:
1. Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
2. Manage and process payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
3. Ensure strict compliance with contract terms, conditions, rights, and obligations.
4. Report monthly to seniors utilising the CVR Process
5. Coordinate changes and managed variations in accordance with JCT Contracts
6. Analyse the impact of changes and assess liability exposure.
Contract Administration:
1. Monitor and track contract obligations.
2. Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.
3. Monitor and report on contract performance in terms of program, cost, and key events/issues.
4. Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
5. Obtain and execute any required forms, reports, or clearances and resolve outstanding issues.
6. Collaborate with both clients and subcontractors in all duties.
Budget Management:
1. Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes.
2. Capture and report cost variances.
3. Collate Defined Cost Records for client audit.
Reporting and Documentation:
1. Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation.
2. Generate Earned Value Analysis reports.
3. Validate Subcontract Applications/Payments data.
4. Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs.
5. Prepare monthly valuations.
6. Maintain change registers.
7. Provide commercial elements for the commercial report.
Qualifications
* Must be highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets
* This job is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Warrington
* Opportunity to spend time in and working closely with other departments will be provided to ensure the successful applicant gains a wide depth and breadth of experience and understanding of the company and industry
* Ability to travel throughout the south east
* Must be confident to be client facing

Qualifications
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
* Background in Energy, Oil or Gas
* Experience in a senior commercial role.
Education:
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial field.
Professional Membership:
* Membership in an appropriate professional body.
Skills:
* Strong data interrogation skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Leadership experience with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Proficient in bid knowledge.
Legal and Contractual Knowledge:
* Excellent understanding of legal and contractual aspects.
Industry Exposure:
* Demonstrated industry experience.
Driving License:
* Valid driving license.
