This is a Croud role, and were looking for a Senior Comms Planner to lead the development and execution of integrated media and creative strategies across client accounts at Croud and Born Social.
In this role, you will translate social-first (but not social-only) strategies into actionable media plans, bridging the gap between creative and media to deliver campaigns that hit client objectives. You will work closely with client services, creative teams, and media agencies to identify opportunities to scale work across channels, optimize performance, and demonstrate measurable impact.
You will also play a key role in team development, guiding midweight planners, improving internal processes, and strengthening the agencys comms planning expertise. This is a strategic and client-facing role that combines creativity, analytics, and leadership to drive growth for both clients and the agency.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
1. Comms Planning Delivery Lead the alignment of client campaigns with media agency plans, identifying innovative creative media opportunities that maximize impact. Bring social-first creative expertise and platform knowledge, using social listening and insights to inform media strategies. Plan campaigns designed to hit client objectives, bridging the gap between creative and media to deliver the best possible outcomes. Collaborate with client services and media agencies to identify opportunities to scale work beyond social. Develop and support measurement frameworks to demonstrate content effectiveness, working with Data & Insight teams on short- and long-term solutions.
2. Client Services & Agency Relationships Represent the comms planning team for clients, helping them understand how media planning drives performance and impact. Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies (e.g., Mindshare, OMD, PHD) to co-produce media-aligned content and identify cross-platform opportunities. Own relationships with platform representatives to secure support, early access, and new opportunities. Contribute to New Business pitches by creating comms/media strategies that demonstrate value and growth potential.
3. Team Leadership & Development Lead and support the progression of midweight planners, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. Drive process improvements within the comms planning team to increase efficiency, output quality, and relevance. Support internal education initiatives to increase understanding of comms planning across the agency.
4. Cross-Agency Collaboration & Growth Lead and support the development of midweight planners, actively upskilling the team and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Identify process improvements within the comms planning team to increase efficiency and quality. Champion a collaborative and connected team culture, ensuring alignment with agency values and long-term vision.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
5. 3+ years minimum experience in comms planning or media planning for social
6. In depth understanding of paid social channels & formats, including non-auction buys
7. Understanding of the media ecosystem including search & programmatic
8. Confident with Meta & Tiktok ads manager, as well as other key platforms
9. Experience working alongside multiple different teams and work streams to ensure media is considered throughout strategy and into delivery
10. Understanding of key Social performance metrics including but not limited ER, CTR, CPM - and how to understand media effectiveness off the back of them
11. Experience with data tools such as Datorama, DataStudio and ads manager
12. Confident presenting media ideas & approaches to key stakeholders
13. Media Data Analysis - Excel capable & able to produce pivot tables, analyze paid & organic media data
Preferred:
14. Experience working alongside other agencies
15. Experience working in paid with Snapchat, Youtube, X or any other social platforms (Reddit, Twitch, Pinterest, etc)
16. Experience in other digital media or OOH
17. Experience with Sprinklr, TGI & GWI
18. Experienced working with creative teams
19. Any experience across organic social planning
