I'm working with a well-established civil engineering consultancy that has recently opened a new office in Kettering. They’re looking to grow their Civils team with the addition of a Civil Engineer to support their expanding portfolio of projects both locally and nationally.
Their work includes multi-storey residential blocks, housing developments, schools, and commercial schemes, ranging from small bespoke jobs to large multi-million-pound projects.
Role Overview:
You’ll be joining a close-knit civils team of Engineers, Seniors, and Technicians, with responsibilities including:
* Supporting the design of roads, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure from concept through to detailed design
* Producing calculations, models, drawings, and technical reports using recognised software
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
* Assisting with site visits, surveys, and project delivery
* Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and health and safety regulations
* Participating in client meetings and contributing technical expertise
* Supporting continuous improvement and learning within the team
Software Exposure:
* AutoCAD (incl. Vehicle Tracking)
* Civil 3D
* MicroDrainage
* PDS
What They’re Looking For:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil design tools
* Understanding of drainage, highways, flood risk, and general infrastructure design
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proactive and eager to take ownership of your work
* Keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn
