About the role
We're looking for kind, compassionate Home Care Support Workers to support service users in their own homes; helping them stay independent and live well. You'll provide personal care and companionship to regular service users each week, building meaningful relationships and delivering consistent, high-quality support. As the role involves visiting service users across the local area, having your own transport is essential.

Responsibilities
* Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
* Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or behavioural challenges.
* Help clients with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home.
* Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Skills
* Experience in social care is highly desirable but not essential, we will train you and support you throughout your journey.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
* Ability to perform care tasks with compassion and respect for client dignity.
* Competence in meal preparation and understanding of dietary needs.
* Valid driving licence and own transport is required.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in various situations.
Training
We offer training to give you the confidence, knowledge and skills to care for our clients.
Paid training includes an induction, moving and handling, in-person and online training including dementia, end of life, catheter care, and more.
We have additional opportunities to gain industry recognised qualifications such as the NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care.
